The Heintzman House is one of the oldest buildings in Thornhill, Ontario. Due to its historic look and affordable price, it has become a popular venue for small weddings. We are pleased to be part of Lexy and Jed's wedding inside this lovely heritage site last week. The couple lives in the west coast. They decided to host their wedding here because most of their friends and family are around Toronto.
We started the wedding day with Lexy getting ready at the bridal suite. This decent sized suite is spacious and comfortable with natural lighting coming from multiple directions. While the bride is getting ready, the groom enjoys a few glasses of whisky downstairs along with the groomsmen.
The main foyer at the Heintzman house has this tall window, perfect for portraits. The soft window light showcases details of the bridal dress.
The Heintzman house was originally built in the 1800s. That was over 200 years ago! After multiple renovations, it is still suitable for hosting special events and occasions.
Lexy is waiting for her wedding ceremony to being inside the bridal suite. We love this shot of the her sitting by the window doors. The soft light kisses her figure beautifully.
The wallpaper pattern and vintage furniture in the bridal suite shows the decorative details of this historical property.
The original wedding ceremony was scheduled to be held outside. However due to rain, it was moved back to the ballroom area.
